The Dharma of Wealth

In the sacred Hindu text, The Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna says to his disciple, Arjuna, “It is better to strive in one’s own dharma than to succeed in the dharma of another. Nothing is ever lost in following one’s own dharma. But competition in another’s dharma breeds fear and insecurity.”

In translation, “dharma” equates to purpose, the path that a person walks which is most in alignment with him- or herself and what he or she came here to do. So, the above passage could also be translated, “It’s better to live in your own purpose than to succeed in someone else’s.”

What does this have to do with creating wealth? Everything!

In Indian philosophy (of which Vedic Astrology is a part), there are four primary aims of life, collectively called puruṣārtha. These four aims are dharma (purpose), artha (wealth and acquisition), kama (fulfillment of desires), and moksha (liberation). In the sequence of attainment, artha follows dharma. Wealth follows purpose, because wealth is what we need to fulfill our purpose.

This may sound esoteric and “woo-woo,” but it’s not. Even the esoteric ceases to be lofty when you apply it to real life.

We can only fully access our personal Sacred Wealth Code when we are living in our own purpose, our own dharma. However, almost everything we are taught about marketing, wealth acquisition, and success asks us to follow someone else’s formula―and therefore, someone else’s purpose. Traditional marketing techniques don’t work for everyone because not everyone has the Sacred Wealth Code elements that make their purpose compatible with these techniques.

If you’re following a path that doesn’t align with how you were designed for wealth, you will quickly feel tired, burned out, disillusioned, and frustrated. You might see only a fraction of the success that others who have different Sacred Wealth Codes than you (and therefore different purposes, paths, and internal designs for wealth) have achieved using the same formulas. You might start to feel miserable in your life and work. You might start to hate the business you used to love. You might end up losing your job, your relationships, and even your self-respect because you’re wasting so much energy, effort, and soul force trying to fit yourself into a mold that doesn’t support who you are, or what you came here to do.

Even if you’re not personally at that point, you probably know people who are. Think of someone who has had a business blow up in their face, or has been taken to their knees when their grand plans failed on every front. Or, think of someone who has made a lot of money, but lost everything that was important to them in the pursuit. Chances are, they were following someone else’s map to money, not the one encoded in their soul blueprint.

That’s why it’s so important to understand how you are designed, at a soul level, to connect with, attract, and acquire wealth. And it’s why I want to teach you to discover and embody this design in every aspect of your life, and use it to consciously create the success to which your soul aspires.

Now, with that in mind, think of the people you know who seem to be truly wealthy―not just because of how much money they have, but because they emanate a deep sense of satisfaction. They have a business or career that fulfills them, relationships that support them, and freedom to do what makes them happy. Chances are, their wealth isn’t only connected to their money, but to every area of their lives. Did you think that these people were simply lucky, or destined for wealth? Or can you see, now, how they might simply be living in a way that is connected to and aligned with their Sacred Wealth Codes?

Your soul already knows what you should be doing to manifest the wealth that you desire. Your soul already knows what you should be doing to make money. You just need to learn to listen to and follow through on that inner knowing.
